Dr. Syed Ali Husain is a transplant nephrologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at Columbia University Medical Center in New York City. He earned his medical degree at New Jersey Medical School and completed training in internal medicine at Tufts Medical Center followed by training in nephrology and transplant nephrology at Columbia University Medical Center. His clinical practice specializes in the evaluation and management of patients with kidney disease requiring a kidney transplant. His research focuses on improving transplant outcomes and expanding access to transplant through improving the allocation of donated kidneys.
